  4.    This is a partially functional version of Electronic 
  5. Cow's EC-909 rhythm composer, and is public domain. This 
  6. means that this version may be freely distributed as 
  7. long as all the files remain together and unaltered. 
  8. Permission is also granted for inclusion on cover-mount 
  9. CD-ROMs, disk, or compilation CD-ROMs, PD libraries, WWW 
  10. pages, and FTP sites.

  12.    Please note that Electronic Cow cannot be held 
  13. responsible for any loss or damage to your system that 
  14. occurs during the use/misuse of this program. But hey, 
  15. it works - the moral is don't tamper with it, otherwise 
  16. it won't!

  19. What is it?
  20. --------------------------------------------------------
  21.    It's an analogue drum machine emulator, complete with 
  22. a set of Roland TR-909 sounds! With EC-909 you can 
  23. create patterns and then save them as samples, dump the 
  24. drum loops to a MIDI sampler, or even save the them as 
  25. type 1 standard MIDI files...

  28. Limitations of this demo
  29. --------------------------------------------------------
  30. * No MIDI file, or sample export
  31. * No MIDI sample dump
  32. * No Options dialogue for setting preferences
  33. * No MIDI triggering of loops and pads
  34. * Preset tempo and bar size
  35. * No on-line help or manual :)
  36. * No user support or free upgrade service!
  37. * No Undo facility
  38. - everything else works just as the full version,
  39.   including load and save patterns

  43. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  44. --------------------------------------------------------
  45.    You'll need either a TT or an STE (a separate version 
  46. for the Falcon exists elsewhere!), with at least 1Mbyte 
  47. of memory, and a 640 x 400 display (ST high) or better. 
  48. At the moment EC909ST does not run on the STFM due to 
  49. lack of digital audio hardware - sorry!
